7	8	9	has some flaws in basic production.
4	5	6	has numerous flaws in basic production (i.e. consistently thin, unfocused, or forced sound).
1	2	3	is inconsistent and impacts performance quality.

IntonationThe student's Intonation;

20				has accurately tuned all strings..
17	18	19		is mostly accurate - few strings slightly out of tune.
13	14	15	16	is almost accurate - some strings slightly out of tune.
9	10	11	12	is somewhat accurate, but includes some out of tune notes.
5	6	7	8	is often inaccurate - many strings out of tune.
1	2	3	4	is inaccurate and hinders the quality of the performance.

TempoThe student's tempo;

9	10	is accurate and consistent with the printed tempo marking(s).
7	8	approaches the printed tempo marking(s), yet the performed tempo does not detract significantly from the performance.
5	6	is different from the printed tempo marking(s), resulting in an inappropriate tempo for the selection, yet remains consistent.
